Your web browser and your experience of MeetingWeb

Your view of Meeting Web will vary with the web browser you use. All MeetingWeb features have been tested in Netscape 1.1, 2.0, 3.O, Internet Explorer 2.0, and Lynx 2.6. We have also tested some features in NCSA Mosaic and Mac Web. Your browser needs to be at least html 2.0 compliant. Text entry, font style, size, spacing, and screen colors vary with the features and settings on your browser.

Typing your comments
Most graphical browsers (all those that are html 2.0 compliant) will present a scrollable text entry box where you type in (or paste in) your comments.

Some newer browsers automatically wrap text to the next line as you type. (Something most word processors have done for 10 years.)

The text-only browser, lynx, displays a series of lines marking the text entry area. When you reach the end of a line, press the Return key. Because lynx will only show the text that fits in the area, it's important to correct as you go as you may not be able to see earlier lines.

For lengthy comments, it's best to type them first in your favorite word processor and them paste them into your browser. With Netscape 2.O and above, you can upload your file directly into the MeetingWeb text entry area.
